Position Summary:
The Clinic/Office Assistant is responsible for the front office efficiency assisting students, parents and visitors on campus everyday. The Office Assistant will be responsible for providing health care services to students minor injuries or illnesses in an expedient manner. The assistant works with parents, students and school nurse under the direct supervision of school administration. This position is a 12-month position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer first aid and medications to students in accordance with district policy
- Assist in the maintenance of medical records and daily logs of clinic visits
- Record each student’s medication in log book
- Seek and attend continual training for clinic assistant
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly
- Perform clerical duties regarding health services that include organizing, file and maintaining health information in a confidential manner, documentation of health services provided, maintain the clinic supply inventory, assist the school nurse with students health record review and follow up, including but not limited to immunization, physical exams and emergency cards
- Collect and submit clinic information to district monthly
- Serve as first backup to Office Assistant
- Ability to ensure confidentiality regarding student, staff and parental information

- Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations
- Must exhibit cleanliness, neatness and appropriateness in appearance and dress
- Must possess computer skills to utilize various computer software and/or be able to learn required software
- Willingness to learn new jobs, technologies and other related duties
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team achieving common goals, is agreeable, tactful and cooperative with staff, students and parents
- Accepting of constructive suggestions and attempts to put the suggestions into operations at work or in attitude toward assigned tasks
