Classical Preparatory School helps prepare students explore the world around them
“Some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed, and some few to be chewed and digested.” Comparing the quality of literature to that of food, one of humanity’s most elemental needs, reminds us that books are the essential nourishment of the mind.
“It is a great thing to start life with a small number of really good books. You may not appreciate them at first…and then suddenly, on a day which marks an epoch in your life, you see…how the one stands for nothing and the other for literature.” – Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
“The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious – the fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art and true science.” – Albert Einstein

Classical studies provide a unique nurturing environment for students
Classical Preparatory School fosters growth in its students
For the next generation
Unique for being one of the very few public schools in Florida to mandate the study of Latin, Classical Preparatory School has a distinct nomenclature that incorporates Latin terminology into the fabric of the school, creating a unique culture that students will remember in the years to come.
The nomenclature is a reflection of the continuity between Classical Prep and great schools of the classical tradition, such as Boston Latin. Throughout their years at Classical Prep, students become increasingly accustomed to using Latin terminology and the importance of language as an instrument of beauty and power.
