Because of the donations we have received, we have been able to significantly reduce the number of supplies Grammar School families have been asked to purchase, resulting in an average savings of approximately $50–60 per family.

Please use the newly published supply lists when shopping for the upcoming school year. You can find them HERE. If you have already purchased items from the original lists and would still like to send those extra supplies, we would gratefully accept them. Any additional supplies will be used to support Classical Prep families who may need assistance providing the required materials for their scholars.

We are incredibly grateful for the generous community we have built. Your willingness to support one another allows us to be good stewards of our resources while ensuring that every scholar begins the year with the tools they need to learn and thrive. Thank you for partnering with us in modeling generosity, responsibility, and care for our community.

Let’s make this a memorable and colorful year for our senior class!

9th Grade Families,

As we continue preparing for the upcoming school year, we’ve made one adjustment to the ninth-grade English curriculum. After further review, The Iliad will serve as the primary anchor text for Quarter 1, as it more closely aligns with the standards, writing progression, and instructional goals for ninth-grade English.

As a result, The Epic of Gilgamesh (Penguin Classics) is no longer a required purchase. Scholars will still study Gilgamesh through selected excerpts provided in class, so there is no need to purchase the full text.

If you have not yet purchased The Epic of Gilgamesh, no action is needed. If you have already purchased a copy, we apologize for the inconvenience. If the book was purchased through the Amazon link we provided, it may still be eligible for return.

Thank you for your understanding and flexibility as we continue to thoughtfully refine our curriculum. We appreciate your partnership and look forward to welcoming everyone back for a successful school year!

Beginning with the 2026-27 school year, due to the new Florida Law, Classical Prep is requiring that all scholar-athletes in grades 9th-12 who participate in FHSAA-sanctioned sports and anyone playing Football to obtain an ECG screening, regardless of whether they have previously participated in a sport. CLICK HERE to review the attached flyer regarding required ECG heart screenings for scholar-athletes.

Who Must Obtain an ECG to play at Classical Prep?

  • All 9th-12th grade athletes who participate in FHSAA sanctioned sports, regardless of if they have played a sport before.
  • Any athlete playing Football

To support this requirement, Pasco County Schools is partnering with Who We Play For to offer ECG heart screenings for scholars ages 10–22 for $20 per scholar. Families may choose to complete the screening at any of the locations listed on the Pasco County Schools flyer, which also includes registration information and sign-up instructions.

Did You Know?

  • 1 in 300 young people has a potentially life-threatening heart condition that could lead to Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
  • Sudden Cardiac Arrest is the leading cause of death on school campuses and among scholar-athletes.
  • A standard sports physical may miss these conditions 96–99% of the time.
  • A simple, non-invasive 5-minute ECG can detect these conditions 80–96% of the time.

We encourage all families with scholar-athletes to review this important information. To learn more about what an ECG heart screening involves, CLICK HERE to watch the video.

Please take note of Classical Prep’s adjusted office hours during the summer:

July Hours

  • Open Monday – Friday from 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Mrs. Osborne from Pediatrics at Cayden’s Corner will be on campus on Thursday, August 6, providing sports physicals in the Borealis Front Office from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM by appointment only. Cost is $40 per physical.

To schedule an appointment, please contact Mrs. Osborne directly at 813-790-9590.

Important Reminder for Families with Dietary Restrictions or Food Allergies

If your child has a medically necessary food allergy or dietary restriction, please take a moment to complete this FORM so our food service provider can properly accommodate their needs.

To ensure your child’s information is up to date, this form must be completed each school year and signed by a physician before accommodations can be provided.

Thank you for helping us keep our scholars safe and supported!
