As Classical Preparatory’s Head of School, Dr. Errthum will concentrate on faculty evaluations and mentoring, building strong and cohesive faculty teams, curriculum mapping, professional development and recruiting. She will also play a key role in facilitating the connection between operations and academics thus creating a culture of academic excellence.
Dr. Errthum’s professional experience has focused on the targeted oversight areas which will fall under Classical Prep’s Head of School’s purview. She previously oversaw 400 teachers in grades K-12 for a large school district in Colorado in the implementation of teacher-led programs, including managing professional development, core literacy implementation, and a variety of other faculty support systems. In addition to this role, she consulted with districts throughout the U.S. and internationally in support and development of teachers in curriculum and methods through training, support, and mentoring. Prior to her eight years of experience as a district administrator overseeing principals and teachers, she taught for several years in a classical charter school that was ranked in the top five in Colorado. During her time there, she also oversaw a large team of teachers in curriculum planning and training. Her experience and passion for the classical model is a perfect fit for Classical Prep that faculty support is provided to ensure excellence in teaching, curriculum implementation, and a mission-driven culture.
In addition, many of our faculty already know and appreciate Dr. Errthum as she has — in her role as a private consultant — been working with the Classical Prep on core literacy instruction and team building pieces of training since December, forming relationships that will help her integrate into the culture and community quickly. Classical Prep welcomes Dr. Tina Errthum.
