Welcome to Summer Academy 2021

Classical Prep’s Summer Academy is an exciting way to keep your child engaged this summer.
Camps are taught by professional educators and coaches with small camp sizes, offered to incoming 1st through 8th grade children.

  • Offering camps to incoming 1st through 8th graders.
  • $25 non-refundable registration fee per child (one time fee for the entire summer).
  • Fees are listed in each camp description, located in the attached packet.
  • Early Bird Special: $10 off per week of camp for registrations made by April 30, 2021. (Discounted rates have expired.)
  • In general, camps run from 9:00-12:00 pm. Please check the course description for specific camp times.
  • If enrollment allows, we will permit you to transfer your camp fee to a different week, should the need arise. 
  • All camps are subject to cancellation based on enrollment. Families will be notified by May 15th.  All camps are non-refundable (unless canceled due to low enrollment).

Rachel Mann is in her third year teaching at Classical Prep, and teaches the 6th grade beginner band, 6th grade beginner strings, 7th/8th grade intermediate band, and Rhetoric band. She is passionate about her music classes, her students, and this organization! Mrs. Mann is married to Mr. Mann, who is the Grammar school music teacher and the lower school Assistant Dean of Students. Rachel has worked as a leader at summer camps before, and is looking forward to the opportunity to put her educational skills to use in a new way. Her hope is that students will join us for some fun and learning this summer!
Mrs. Melissa Riordan

Melissa Riordan has been with Classical Prep for three years, and is currently teaching kindergarten. She has been in the teaching field for thirteen years. She loves Classical Prep and what she is able to teach scholars at a young age. When she is not at school, she is busy with her daughter who is a junior at River Ridge High School and participates in band and plays basketball. Melissa has a long history of participating in summer camps as a counselor and director. She looks forward to learning and having fun with scholars this summer.
