At Classical Prep, the role of the Evening Custodian is to be a self-motivated, professional who is able to attend our facilities with integrity and attention to detail. This role is an integral part of our school. Custodians are responsible for general care, cleaning, and minor maintenance of the building, grounds, and equipment on campus. Custodians will work consistently to provide a clean, hazard-free and safe environment for staff and students.

Overview

• Position: Full-Time, 12-month non-exempt
• Work Schedule: 2:00 p.m to 10:00 p.m. Monday through Friday , plus occasional training days provided in advance
• Benefits: Insurance benefits the first of the month following hire date of full-time employment, 3% match of employee retirement contribution, 10 days of PTO and 6 paid holidays
• Starting pay: $14.00 per hour

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent training and experience
• A minimum of 1 year of janitorial experience
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs with or without assisted mechanisms

• Clean and disinfect bathrooms, common areas, and classrooms
• Clean AC filters, vents and dusting
• Sweep, mop, vacuum floors and wash windows
• Collect and dispose of trash
• Restock bathrooms and sanitization supplies
• Responsible for the overall cleanliness of all areas of the school to ensure a positive environment
•  Ensure a safe environment at all times, the evening custodian will be responsible for securing  and alarming the building(s) each evening.

• Performing basic repairs as needed 
• Moving and/or relocating furniture and equipment
• Painting small areas
• Scrubbing/waxing floors 
• May perform other duties as assigned
