All rising into sixth grade students must read the required book choice at their grade level and in a one page essay answer the following question:
"What does Watership Down teach us about the importance of cultivating fortitude (definition: mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear or difficulty in order to do the right thing)?"
Students must also read one additional book of their choice from the approved book list at their grade level, and then complete a one-page written summary. Each assignment will be turned in for credit on the first day of school. Happy Reading!
