Per Florida State law, school volunteers must be background checked each year. In Pasco County, the year starts July 1 and runs through June 30. People who submit an application after July 1 will remain active in the Pasco County system through June 30, and will NOT need to submit a new application until July 1, the next year.
Volunteers are NOT allowed to be on campus during school hours without an approved application. Please allow a couple of weeks before receiving an email from the county with your approval status. If you do not hear from them, it's always a good idea to give them a call. Thank you!
